Privacy Policy

Perrywinkle AI ("Perrywinkle", "we", "us") builds and hosts websites for small businesses. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Perrywinkle product and to the websites we host for our customers.

Information you give us

• Account details. Your name and email address, collected through our sign-in provider when you create an account.
• Business details. The information you provide so we can build your site. This includes your business name and description, services, links to your existing website, and documents or images you upload.
• Content from your existing website. If you give us a website address, we read that site to prefill your business details and to collect images you already own.

Information we collect automatically

• Product usage. Events inside the product, such as pages viewed and edits made, used to operate and improve Perrywinkle.
• Cookies. We use cookies to keep you signed in and to credit referrals. We do not use advertising cookies.
• Logs. Standard technical logs for security and reliability. IP addresses are used transiently for rate limiting and abuse prevention.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number never touches our servers. We store your subscription status and a record of what you have purchased.

Visitors to sites we host

When we host a website for a customer, that customer's business owns the relationship with its visitors. On the customer's behalf we collect two kinds of visitor data.

• Leads. When a visitor submits a contact form, we store the name, email address, phone number, and message they chose to send, and we deliver it to the business.
• Site analytics. Page views and basic context such as device type, country, and the source of the visit. We do not build advertising profiles of visitors.

If you contacted a business through a site we host and want your information removed, ask the business directly or contact us and we will help.

How we use AI providers

Perrywinkle uses large language models and image models to design and write your website. The business details you provide are sent to our AI providers to generate your site. These providers process your content on our behalf to deliver the service.

Google user data

Perrywinkle can connect to Google services you authorize, such as Google Business Profile and Google Search Console. These connections are optional and use Google's OAuth consent flow. You connect your own Google account and you can disconnect at any time.

• We request read-only access to show you how your business and website perform, such as search queries, clicks, impressions, profile views, and reviews.
• Your Google data is shown to you and is not shared with other accounts.
• We do not use Google user data for advertising and we never sell it.
• We do not use Google user data to train AI models.
• When you disconnect a Google service, or delete your account, we delete the Google data we stored for it.
• You can also revoke Perrywinkle's access from your Google account permissions page.

Perrywinkle's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How we share information

We do not sell your information. We share it only with service providers that run the product for us, and only as needed to provide the service. These include our sign-in provider, our payment processor, our hosting and storage providers, our email delivery provider, our AI providers, and our error and performance monitoring service. Each provider is bound to use the data only to provide its service to us. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your site, the published site and its stored assets are removed. To delete your account and its data, contact us at the address below and we will complete the deletion.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

Children

Perrywinkle is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or inside the product.
